For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(John 3:16).
The New Testament opens so beautifully when introducing Jesus to us as a love gift from God. Jesus did not come to judge the world but to love the world. Jesus did not come to kill people but to love people. Jesus came to show us the love of God. All those in the world who received Jesus became sons of God. 1John 3:1 says,
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
For us to be called sons and daughters of God, is a deep expression of God’s love to us. I wonder whether you know that you are in a deep love relationship with the God of heaven. I wonder whether you know you are always loved by God. From the day you got born again, you became God’s beloved son and daughter. That is why if God so loved and gave us His only Son, and not one of His ten sons, but His only Son, then we should follow the same love as we give back to Him. The devil wants us to think that we brought ourselves to God and that we should do a thousand things to in order to keep our relationship with God. He wants us to remain blind to this great fact that our salvation is a love relationship. When you know you are in love with God then Satan loses his ground.
When you know you are in love with God then Satan loses his ground.
Who can be tempted to steal a thousand shilling note from someone when he or she knows she or he has a million dollars in their house? Or who can be in love with a very beautiful girl of his dream and then be tempted by an eighty year old woman? So it is with the devil. We need to know we are in a love relationship with our Father so the devil cannot lie to us that God doesn’t love us. After all the devil will never ever love anybody created in God’s image. How much more will the devil hate us the children of God?!!. You should never allow the devil to talk to you about your loving Father. You are God’s beloved
